Once you build HLODs in a FN map, every single action you do (move an actor, place an actor, delete an actor, change actor properties, edit landscape) will result in HLODs fully rebuilding and reuploading to the cloud upon opening live edit. On large projects with thousands of actors built into HLOD, that’s around 400-500 MB of upload, which in normal VDSL connections means around 20 minutes of wait time to open live edit.
THIS IS PER ACTION IN VIEWPORT.
So my thinking is, this would be solved, if the upload is instead split in chunks, similar to world streaming, and uploads that chunk instead of the entire HLOD mesh. That would help speed up the upload to mere mbs instead of half a gigabit.
