Substrate (released by Epic as Experimental in UE 5.3) is a modular principled BRDF shader that will replace legacy materials like Default Lit. The UberShader for Substrate has been completely rebuilt for Substrate, taking advantage of its next-gen features to better emulate the offline BSDF shaders like the Autodesk Arnold Standard Surface.
