Unreal Editor for Fortnite
What Type of Bug are you experiencing?
Character
Summary
In Free For All mode players are spawning on the same team. Can’t shoot each other. I have seen it in my map and other creators maps.
Steps to Reproduce
In Island Settings set Teams to ‘Free for All’. For Team Size I tried ‘Dynamic’ and ‘1’. Same result. It is not all the time. It only seems to happen in Private/Public versions. Never noticed it in Edit mode. I noticed it using my three test PC’s which are all on the same router. I also noticed in this testing two of my EPiC/Fortnite ID’s were always ‘teamed’ with each other.
Expected Result
Free for all should be one player per team. Two+ players should NEVER be on the same team.
Observed Result
See above.
Platform(s)
Windows 10 PC
Additional Notes
A little more info…
When testing with Private versions:
PlayerA: Epic Creator Account Owner (Windows PC)
PlayerB: Administrator on Creator Account (Windows PC)
PlayerC: Administrator on Creator Account (Windows PC)
PlayerA and PlayerB start a game ALWAYS on same team.
PlayerA and PlayerC works great!
PlayerB and PlayerC works great!
PlayerA and PlayerB and PlayerC start game, PlayerA and B on same team, PlayerC alone.
If PlayerA and PlayerB are in the same game they get matched onto same team.
FYI I am controlling all three. All three PC’s on same router/internet connection.
This is only on Private Versions. In UEFN edit more works perfectly. I have uploaded about 20 different private versions changing every single setting/device I can think of to get FFA working and always the same result.
All three accounts are also Friends. They NEVER join in a party. Sometimes I key the private code, sometimes I click on “join game”
When I published the game it appeared to stop matching my players on the same team, however a new bug appeared. I am creating a separate issue for that. The mini scoreboard and main “m” key scoreboard showing different reults.
