This Unreal 5.3 Gameplay Ability System video is about designing the functionality relating to the User Interface for the Upgrade System Framework started in the previous video.
We start by building the Upgrade Button Widget Blueprint with it’s Init Button Function, and then building the Upgrade Select Widget Blueprint, which will get the Pending Upgrades from the Game Instance Blueprint to add Buttons to it’s Horizontal Button Box. We then add the Upgrade Select Widget Blueprint to the HUD Widget Blueprint, and setup the Input in the Character Blueprint to Toggle it’s Visibility.
