So I’ve followed all the steps for the “Make a Title Sequence” tutorial, and the sequence works as advertised until it gets to the UI Widget with the “Start Game” button. Reading the directions, it seems like the PopUp Dialog device is intended to hook into the button I created (per the tutorial), as well as find the text over the button and change it, and then emit an event when the user clicks the button?
But when the screen appears, the placeholder text is still there, and clicking the button doesn’t appear to emit the event that my Verse code is waiting for (again, per the code in the tutorial).
Am I missing a special naming scheme or something for this setup to work properly? This tutorial has been kind of bare-bones (and missing several steps in the middle that I had to work out what was omitted based on the provided screenshots), but I was excited for it to work and I just don’t even know how to begin working it out.
The closest I found was someone who seemed like they had a similar issue on here but WASN’T using Verse, back in March? But I would assume since this tutorial is from Dec. 3, that it should work, right?
