I feel that many of the starting Samples/Content Examples are a great starting point, but not everything is fully up and running or available when it comes to the latest versions of Unreal Engine and that can be bit of a sticking point requiring you to redownload multiple old versions of the engine which takes up alot of storage space and add’s to confusion mixing new and old workflows and content.
Many of the Legacy samples and even templates held true to their designs, and things such as the Paper2D for 2D game creation, Turn Based Strategy, Rolling Ball Template, and the older Tech Demo 2014, Black Jack, Unreal Match 3, and many others have fallen by the way side, which could benefit from improvements and upkeep.
Especially, the Tech Demo 2014 which simplified how things such as physical surface interactions, graphical HUD display elements, flight, and more could be handled. The Content Examples that came after are a great starting point but in the things features in the Tech Demo 2014 it just seems as if it had things in it that performed much better and covered some key areas not in the following materials. Of note the handling of the flying UFO, to me it just felt much better than even the Starting Game Templates in every version since that came after. The movement felt better.
So yeah, now that Unreal Engine is stable enough I’d like to see the old Legacy samples updated and some brought back.

Black Jack Card Game
Point & Click Box Selection Match Game
