Summary
Every time I try to apply the “M_FortniteBase_Parent” Material Instance as a Parent to a new Material Instance, UEFN just crashes out of the sudden.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new project or open an existing one.
- Make a new Material Instance and open it.
- Under “Parent” select “M_FortniteBase_Parent”.
Expected Result
“M_FortniteBase_Parent” should have been applied successfully to the new Material Instance as its Parent.
Observed Result
When selecting “M_FortniteBase_Parent” as the Parent to your Material Instance, UEFN just crashes with the fatal error message “Failed to compile default material WorldGridMaterial!” in the Fortnite Crash Reporter window.

Additional Notes
I tried re-installing UEFN and started fresh with a new project, but the error still occurs.
