Summary
TLDR: I uploaded a new thumbnail to my map yesterday and my map got flagged and locked; I don’t know why and I reached out to Epic support and received no response.
For some context, I uploaded my map yesterday and it was approved. The next day, I tried uploading a new thumbnail and it was rejected because of content within my creative island because I somehow violated “1.2 Keep Personal Info Private”. I have no idea what might have triggered it and the email describing the map rejection provides no further detail, it just says "The content within your creative island " has violated it.
I don’t understand why it got flagged considering that the map has the same private version as before, which had been approved. Now my map is locked, with error code “errors.com.epicgames.content-service.project_locked” appearing whenever I try opening it. I reached out to Epic and received what I believe to be an auto-response. I have received no further response after emailing them back.
I put in considerable time and effort into creating my map, and I can’t even try changing content within it and creating a new version because it is locked. The lack of communication from Epic Support is extremely unprofessional, and frankly, extremely discouraging to experience as a developer who is trying to make content within UEFN. Something needs to be changed with the current process because new developers will only continue to be turned away due to how Epic’s lack of support for developers.
