This Unreal 5.3 Gameplay Ability System video is about adding a Sense of Sight to the AI Controller, and using that to follow the Player, or it’s last recorded Location.
We start by adding the AI Perception Component to the AI Controller Blueprint, talk about some common problems with detection, and then build the Sense handling framework. We next build the Sight Handling functionality along with Blackboard Keys and the new Behavior Tree flow.
