I’m currently working on a project in Unreal Engine 5, and I’m looking to implement a feature where the character’s eye color changes upon picking up a katana. However, I’m unsure about the steps involved in achieving this effect.
I haven’t set up any specific method yet, and I’m seeking guidance on the best approach to dynamically change the eye color using a dynamic material instance in Blueprint when the character picks up the katana.
If anyone could provide a step-by-step tutorial, sample Blueprint nodes, or general advice on how to implement this feature, it would be greatly appreciated. I’m eager to learn and incorporate this into my project.
