Summary
UEFN seems to be significantly struggling to load shaders when dragging out new assets in the Fortnite folder from the content drawer. Lots of freezing and crashes (and hardware is not my issue). Worked just fine in earlier versions, wouldn’t bat an eye dragging things out of my content drawer because it would just load as expected within seconds.
Just now I was trying to drag out the Flush Factory gallery, and got 3 consecutive crashes instantly the moment it left my content drawer. I’m completely unable to continue in my project.
Some other instances where this was an issue was trying to place the new NPC spawner for whatever reason, which would instantly crash the software every time without fail. Any time I try to drag out a prefab, it will freeze for several minutes. Shaders not previously loaded will be stuck without a texture for an abnormally long amount of time.
Steps to Reproduce
Drag out any Fortnite galleries/prefabs from the content drawer
Expected Result
Assets place and render shaders within a reasonable amount of time
Observed Result
Consistent and immediate crashes, or (if you’re lucky) freezes that eventually let you continue after several minutes

Additional Notes
Attempting to import in Creative 1.0 play session does not work either, UEFN still instantly crashes. Creative mode stills says the editor is connected until I reopen UEFN myself, which is also strange (since it is in fact not connected).
Eventually I tried to import the pieces of the gallery I wanted one by one manually. Now even just selecting the piece in UEFN instantly crashes the software. Every time. I’m unable to continue with my project until this gets fixed.
